KOPFZENTRUM listening training

"Better hearing with hearing aids. Listening training from the experts."

Deafness also means hard understanding
A hearing loss leads after a short time to a loss of the ability to bring together sounds and sounds to meaningful impressions. The affected person will forget the language comprehension within months.

This leads to forgetfulness and phenomena of dementia *. Thus, a hearing loss is not only annoying, but leads to an isolation and a loss of brain power.

Good reasons to treat a hearing loss early.

The hearing aid is not enough
People who wear a hearing aid for the first time are often disappointed after a period of euphoria. Although the hearing aid adapts to ambient conditions with the help of complex computer performance, the brain can not properly process the suddenly available signals. Because hearing losses usually reach us in a creeping process. The areas responsible in the brain are thus insufficiently supplied with information for years.

The use of a hearing aid then leads to a completely new hearing situation for our so-called hearing center in the brain. The patient has to master this challenge again. HEAD CENTER therefore recommends connecting a hearing aid supply to training in speech comprehension. Thus, the potential of the system can be exploited in a manageable short time.

The scientifically structured listening training reduces the risk

  • to understand little speech despite successful hearing aid fitting
  • to support dementia,
  • that high-quality hearing systems remain in the drawer after a short wearing time.

The listening training also supports every musically interested person to relive the usual sonority.

Training with professionals increases success
With the help of specially trained hearing coaches (speech therapist, acoustician, audiologist), a hearing training is completed with the patient. Depending on the individual conditions, this includes about 2 hours per week over a period of one to two months.

Everyday and exceptional situations are trained in a density that would not be possible in the everyday life of the hearing aid wearer. The devices are continuously adapted and programmed by the acoustician.

The training is individually adapted to the special needs of the patient and may include, among other things, a separate classical music program.

Supported by the health insurance
The limitation of speech understanding is recognized as a disease. Therapy is reimbursed by the statutory health insurance on the basis of a medical prescription.

The additional services will be provided by the partners of KOPFZENTRUM Hearing Training as part of the hearing aid supply.
